Doing my best to not detach from teaching too much

Been in a workshop this week and last on Common Core. I also am finishing my book on classroom management. It's been a restful summer, but I can't let my mind drift to far from the 180 day trek called teaching. I have a little over a month left and I'm going to max everyday.

My wife and kids got me a Big Green Egg grill for Father's Day. My personal goal is to cook on this thing everyday. So far I'm good for 5 days. It's the little things that make me happy. Oh and my family LOVE my dishes. *Update: I've cooked on my egg just about everyday. Since I'm getting my deck refinished I may give BGE a rest for the next couple of days. 

Summer break is for...

Summer is for a lot of things and I'm using it for all of them. One thing specifically is I'm recharging my mind, soul and body. I want to be the best that I can be next school year and the only way that's going to happen is I have to re-up. So let me get off this blog and get back to super relaxing. 

Take your time Summer, please

This Summer has been right on. I haven't been able to get as much done, but I've rested and recharged. This has been a great two weeks of Summer and it can take it's own sweet time.
